Zone Troopers (1985)

In the midst of the chaos of World War II, a platoon of American soldiers - The Sarge, Joey, Mittens, and Dolan - find themselves lost in the untamed wilderness of Italy, their numbers dwindled after a brutal attack. As the tension of enemy proximity looms, the eccentric Joey swears he's glimpsed an alien creature in the silvery glow of the moonlight. His comrades, however, dismiss his claims, attributing the sighting to hallucinations or a wandering deer. With hunger gnawing at their bellies, Mittens and Dolan embark on a desperate hunt for food. Their search leads them deep into the forest where they stumble upon a chilling discovery: an abandoned Nazi camp, filled with images and studies of an enigmatic spacecraft. Before they can warn their friends, the pair are captured, leaving the others blissfully unaware of the lurking danger. As dawn breaks, The Sarge and Joey stumble upon the same chilling sight - the secretive spacecraft, cast away in the woods like a metallic beast. A shadowy figure watches from the edges of their vision, an alien lifeform tracking their every move. Simultaneously, a nearby Nazi unit, spurred by rumors of the extraterrestrial visitor, dispatches a patrol with a mission - capture the spacecraft and the American soldiers. "Zone Troopers" weaves a tale of survival, friendship, and the unknown, blurring the lines between ally and enemy, earthling and alien. As each group seeks to unravel the mystery of the crashed spaceship, the question remains: Will the alien force prove to be a friend aiding their survival, or an unforeseen foe, more deadly than the war they're already fighting?
