Plot

Under the weight of a lifetime-long battle with Leukemia, Zoe finds herself on the precipice of life and death when a prognosis reveals she has mere months to live. This devastating news, however, sends her into an emotional retreat, her parents, John and Elizabeth, struggling to penetrate her newfound wall of despair. Then, in a twist of cosmic fate, an Astronaut named Jacques plunges from the heavens, his space pod crash landing in a nearby field, shattering the bleak monotony of Zoe's remaining days. Born in the isolated expanse of a lost mission shuttle, Jacques returns to Earth as its lone survivor, a stranger in his own planet. Intrigued by his otherworldly origins, Zoe finds herself drawn to the alien visitor and in a poignant exchange of roles, becomes Jacques' guide, showing him the marvels and miracles that Earth has to offer. As Zoe's parents grapple with their protective instincts, they attempt to shield their dying daughter from becoming too entangled in Jacques' enigmatic existence. But the heart, as they say, wants what it wants, and Zoe and Jacques find themselves inexorably drawn to each other. Yet as John and Elizabeth delve deeper into Jacques' past, they unearth unsettling truths that threaten to shatter the fragile world Zoe has built around her newfound companion. In the face of impending mortality and the unraveling of Jacques' celestial tale, Zoe's final days weave a tapestry of love, discovery, and undeniable human connection.
