Your Son (2018)

In the sun-drenched southern reaches of Spain, nestled in the heart of Andalucia, respected doctor Javier Jiménez enjoys a tranquil existence. His world orbits around his wife Carmen and their two teenage children, the mature Marcos and the older, sensible Sara. However, their serene life in Sevilla is shattered one fateful night when Javier, immersed in his hospital duties, is blindsided by the news of Marcos falling victim to a vicious attack, leaving him comatose. Ravaged by a maelstrom of anger, sorrow, and helplessness, and frustrated by the police's lackluster efforts to find those responsible, Javier embarks on a clandestine investigation of his own. He delves into Marcos' social circle, interrogating his friend Pedro and former girlfriend Andrea, in a desperate quest to unearth the identities of the culprits. His pursuit leads him to a local discotheque, under the shadowy control of Manolo, whose son, a youth known as Albino for his stark white hair, is implicated in the assault. Javier's noble intentions of gathering evidence against Albino and his crew spiral into a vortex of complications, landing him in handcuffs. Later released under strict supervision, Javier, unable to quell his thirst for justice, engages Juan, a father of one of his young patients, to carry out a dubious act of retribution. This plan, however, backfires, prompting Manolo to threaten Javier's life. In the face of such peril, Javier makes a dramatic choice, a decision that threatens to overturn the very fabric of his existence.
