Concurrently, Lena, a co-worker who harbors feelings for Max, sees an opportunity in his spiraling jealousy. She devises a plan to exploit his insecurities, possibly driving a wedge between him and Elizabeth. When she's convinced Elizabeth is with another man, she rings Max at his workplace, pushing him towards a confrontation with the supposed lovers.
