In the heart of an otherwise ordinary town, a retired baseball player named Calvin Campbell wrestles with personal demons that cut his promising career short. Now a single father to a fiercely independent teenager, Katie, Calvin finds himself aimlessly drifting through life, his days often clouded by the haze of alcohol. However, a chance encounter at the local grocery store begins to change the game for him. During a routine alcohol run, Calvin's world collides with an unlikely beacon of hope - a caring young man with Down syndrome, known as Produce, who works at the grocery store. Produce's infectious spirit and unwavering optimism begin to chip away at Calvin's hardened exterior.
