In an audacious endeavor to conquer Earth from within, a highly sophisticated, emotionless civilization hailing from the fringes of the universe sends one of their own, disguised as a human, to Earth. This extraterrestrial, Harold Anderson, is equipped with a peculiar, humming, mechanical appendage, designed for the sole purpose of impregnating a human female. Adopting the disguise of a mundane banker in the sun-soaked city of Phoenix, Harold embarks on his mission to find a suitable mate. However, Harold's efforts to connect with human women prove to be embarrassingly clumsy, his alien origins revealing themselves in his awkwardness. His mechanical attribute, far from being an asset, only complicates his attempts. In a twist of fate, a savvy banking colleague suggests an unconventional hunting ground - an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Here, Harold crosses paths with the intriguing Susan, and with an inexplicable charm, he convinces her to be his wife.
