Warrior Angels (2002)

In the year 1190, amidst the chaos of the Third Holy Crusade, the fearless knight, Elizabeth of Cooke (Joanna Pacula), is summoned back to her homeland following a brutal battle injury. Leaving her young son Peter (Sander Kolosov) in the care of her village, she returns to a world turned upside down, finding her homeland preyed upon by the ruthless ex-Lord, Grekkor (Rutger Hauer). The local Priest's revelation of Peter's abduction by Grekkor catapults Elizabeth into a quest for vengeance and the relentless pursuit of her son's freedom. Elizabeth's call to arms, however, is met with trepidation from the local men, leaving her to form an unlikely alliance. Stepping forward are three other women: Hunter (Molly Culver), a steely-eyed archer with deadly precision; Eve (Charlotte Avery), a wily prostitute with an unspoken past; and Sybil (Rimante Valiukaite), a mystic gypsy armed with an arsenal of potent herbs and powders. Together, they form an unorthodox army, their shared purpose fuelling their determination to challenge the powerful knights of Grekkor. As their struggle intensifies, they gain an unexpected ally in the form of the formidable Luke (Arnold Vosloo), whose strength and courage bolster their ranks. In a world scarred by conflict and deceit, Elizabeth and her band of warrior women embark on a desperate battle against the tyrant Grekkor, risking everything to rescue Peter and restore justice to their besieged village. In the face of insurmountable odds, their unity and resilience ignite a powerful rebellion against the darkness that threatens their land.
