Plot

In the heart of Tokyo, Yosuke, a subdued and jobless man, stumbles upon an otherworldly tale spun by Taro, a homeless elder who breathes his last in the city's cold streets. The tale? A golden statue Taro left behind in a seaside house in Noto. Intrigued, Yosuke embarks on a journey to rediscover the relic. His path intertwines with Saeko, a young woman inhabiting the very house of Taro's memories. Saeko is no ordinary woman; she carries an unorthodox curse. A strange accumulation of water builds within her, demanding release through reckless deeds such as theft. However, its most potent liberation lies in the throes of ecstasy. Yosuke, captivated and bewitched, obliges. This peculiar water possesses a life-giving quality, nourishing all life it touches, from plants to fish. Saeko, while experiencing relief, battles with shame and a haunting past. Taro's apparition encourages Yosuke to fulfill his desires, but will their unique bond survive the tide of their circumstances? In this surreal narrative of desire, shame and redemption, Warm Water Under a Red Bridge explores the intertwining of human lives with the inexplicable elements of their existence.
