When Roy Rogers, an earnest cowboy with a heart of gold, discovers his ranch teetering on the brink of foreclosure, he and his loyal sidekicks, Gabby and Chuckawalla, journey east. Their mission is to secure funds from a Wall Street financier and old family friend, Roger Hammond, to pay off the mortgage and save the ranch that's been a part of Roy's legacy. However, the trio's simple plan begins to unravel, thanks to the clumsy antics of well-intentioned Gabby and Chuckawalla, and the dark machinations of Hammond's race-horse trainer, Tony McGrath.
