Plot

In the gritty underbelly of a lively Dublin jazz bar, "W.C." unearths the trials and tribulations of two custodians of cleanliness, bound by their circumstances to the grimy toilets they meticulously maintain. Jack Watts, a former gambling addict fresh out of prison, is sentenced to pay his dues as a toilet attendant as retribution for the money he swindled from his family's bar. His reluctant mentor, Katya, is the enigmatic attendant of the ladies' restroom, her life shrouded in secrecy owing to her illegal status. Their world is not merely confined to the bathroom stalls; it is a microcosm of life, brimming with boisterous customers, bumbling losers and an intrusive bar manager. The duo navigates through these daily dramas with a blend of resilience and resignation, their positions as toilet attendants anchoring them to the ground. Jack is shackled by the debt he owes his family, while Katya's illegal status casts a shadow over her every move. In these unlikely surroundings, Jack and Katya begin to forge an unexpected friendship. Katya, hardened by a life where everyone has a hidden agenda, is initially wary of Jack. However, as they scrub away the grime and navigate the bar's dramas together, a bond begins to form. Trapped in their jobs and lives, they find solace in the unlikeliest of alliances. "W.C." is a potent blend of drama and human relationships, set amidst the toilet stalls and the jazz-infused atmosphere of a Dublin bar. It is a poignant exploration of two lives intertwined by circumstance, seeking redemption and companionship in the most unexpected of places.
