Plot

In a world steeped in despair and desolation, Vulgar masterfully traces the embattled life of a lowly clown, struggling beneath the weight of his grim existence. Caught in the throes of a routine that offers no redemption, this children's entertainer finds his life stifled by a dilapidated apartment he can barely afford, an incessant mother housed in a nursing home, and a mooching best friend. His sanctuary: a rundown car persistently invaded by the homeless, his only refuge from the world that seems to take more than it gives. In a desperate bid to turn his life around, he hatches an audacious plan. He assumes the persona of a bachelor clown, dressing as a woman to rouse laughter at parties before the real entertainment arrives. His new moniker: Vulgar. However, his inaugural performance spirals into a horrifying ordeal at the hands of a deranged man and his twisted offspring, who subject him to unimaginable physical and sexual abuse, all captured on tape. Time marches on, and Vulgar, despite his traumatic experience, receives a call for a party from a former client. The event takes a shocking turn when he arrives to find the client's daughter held hostage. With courage and cunning, he rescues the girl, propelling him into the media spotlight and leading to a television show for his original clown persona, Flappy. Just as his dreams begin to materialize, a specter from his past re-emerges. The man who assaulted him threatens to publicize their encounter unless Vulgar pays for his silence. This harrowing development forces him to confront his past, initiating a thrilling sequence of blackmail, fame, and revenge. Through the turmoil, Vulgar must navigate the treacherous waters of his reality, deciding how far he's willing to go to protect his newfound success.
