Former Vice President Dick Cheney gets the spotlight in this biopic that takes a deeper examination of his political career. Cheney's lack of charisma makes him an odd choice for a politician, but his wife Lynne helps him find his voice and a niche within the world of Wyoming politics. The ups and downs of this political career culminate with his ascendancy as Vice President under George W. Bush, and it's here that Cheney fully realizes his potential as a politician. With the ear of the younger Bush, Cheney becomes a politician who manages to fulfill his ambitions almost entirely behind the scenes.
