Banished from the old world, the sinister vampire sovereign, Giovanni, seeks refuge in the untamed wilderness of the American southwest, establishing a fresh coven. Doggedly pursued by Longshank, the preeminent vampire hunter of Britain, their feud reaches its climax in the arid expanses of the Arizona desert, leaving both adversaries lifeless. Fast forward to a century later, we meet Melissa, a striking, gothic, lesbian college student harboring a deep-seated obsession to become a vampire and escape her distressing domestic life. Alongside her eclectic group of friends - Ted, Liz, Mona, and Kent - she regularly dabbles in rituals, hoping to connect with the mysterious forces of darkness. A serendipitous encounter with a malevolent, ancient book at a spine-chilling garage sale offers her the missing piece to her enigmatic puzzle. Guided by vivid dreams of Giovanni and a cryptic map nestled within the book, the quintet embarks on a daring expedition to the ominously named "Massacre Lane." Unbeknownst to them, their journey will ultimately lead to the invocation of actual vampires, thrusting them into a world far beyond their darkest fantasies.
