Valparaiso (2012)

In the heart of the English Channel, the "Magnificent", a monstrous supertanker boasting 400,000 tonnes of crude oil, finds herself helplessly impaled on the Casquets reef. As the clock strikes 21:07 GMT, the rocks shred through her double hull, threatening to birth yet another devastating oil slick. Across the sea, in bustling Brussels, Emma Caglione, a young and impassioned Green Member of the European Parliament, tirelessly labors over this environmental atrocity. Her discovery is alarming - the oil cargo was stealthily purchased by none other than "Oil&Co", a corporate titan led by her own father, Balthazar Paredes, a former supertanker captain with an ascendant career.
