In the year 1966, the vibrantly rustic village of Kandeduthankaadu near Tanjore, serves as the backdrop for the tale of Veluthambi, portrayed by Vimal. A well-educated yet reluctant hero, Veluthambi is driven by his father Bhagyaraj's dream - to see his son secure a prestigious government job. In pursuit of this dream, Veluthambi joins the Gram Seva, a noble initiative designed to educate the impoverished children of rural villages.
