Plot

In the pulsating heart of 21st-century London, two lost souls, Axl and Vera, find themselves sharing the bohemian chaos of an east-end squat. The city teems with vibrant life, yet they are each gripped by their unique struggles, both stalled by their pasts and their reasons for being in this sprawling metropolis. Axl, a twenty-year-old from Madrid, perpetually drowns the world in alcohol, a habit that erases his memories more nights than not. Yet, he clings to a single mission – locating his British biological father who remains oblivious to his existence. His only lead is a name, Anthony Hemmings. In the squat, Axl finds an unlikely mentor in fellow squatter Mike, who chooses to not just aid him in his quest but to offer him a new perspective on his journey. Parallel to Axl's quest, the francophone Vera, is a fugitive from her past, fleeing from the wreckage of a failed relationship with Lucas. Working as a bookstore clerk, a job that ill suits her, she embarks on a physical relationship with an airport security agent who is drawn to her. Yet, she maintains an emotional distance, her heart still enmeshed in the ruins of her past. As Axl and Vera navigate their individual labyrinths, their paths intersect. The evening they spend together could serve as a catalyst — a moment of mutual understanding that might just give them the strength to confront their pasts and carve out their futures in the diverse tapestry of London life.
