Unfaithfully Yours (1984)

In the heart of the musical world, we encounter Claude Eastman, a renowned composer and conductor, who is besotted by his significantly younger wife, Daniella. During a business trip, he asks his Italian chauffeur, Giuseppe, to ensure his friend Norman keeps a watchful eye on Daniella, a request lost in translation that leads to a private detective tailing her instead. Norman presents Claude with a report indicating something amiss during his absence. Claude initially dismisses the evidence, but curiosity soon overtakes him, leading him on a clandestine quest to uncover the truth. As he retrieves the discarded report, his life spirals into a whirlpool of suspicion and jealousy. The detective's footage of a late-night visitor to his apartment is unclear, but Claude notices a distinct style of clothing. This launches him on a frantic search, scrutinizing every man in his circle for the damning outfit. Among them is Max, Claude's promising pupil and a notorious womanizer, who bears the suspicious attire. Confronting Daniella reveals a secret, yet not the one Claude imagined. Her nonchalant response sends Claude over the edge, his mind weaving a dangerous plot to murder Daniella and frame Max. As he meticulously sets his scheme into motion, an unexpected twist threatens to unravel his carefully constructed plan.
