In the charming tapestry of South Indian life and culture, we find Kalidasa, an archaeologist by profession and a passionate epicurean by heart. Working for the state archaeological department, he leads a solitary existence in his beautiful home, his only company being an eclectic bunch of fellows - a relative, a cook, a tribal leader, and his nephew - each character he effortlessly collects on life's journey. Despite his delightful dwelling and affable companions, the one ingredient missing in Kalidasa's life is the spice of romantic companionship. On the other side of this narrative is Gowri, a talented voiceover artiste with a penchant for cooking, an art she inherited from her mother. She too is a solitary figure, but her solitude is scented with the delicious aromas of her kitchen. Their worlds collide unexpectedly when a misdialed call connects them. The initial irritation gradually simmers down to a mutual attraction, stirred not only by their shared love for 'kutty dosa' but also their inherent shyness. Food, the vibrant thread that binds them, becomes a silent language of their unspoken feelings. Despite the warmth brewing over their telephonic exchanges, both parties shy away from a face-to-face encounter. They decide to send younger, more attractive substitutes in their place, unknowingly seasoning their lives with a dash of confusion and a sprinkle of insecurity.
