True Memoirs of an International Assassin (2016)

Sam Larson may be a successful novelist, but his life is nothing like the glamorous habitats of his jetsetting protagonists. That all changes when his latest novel is accidentally marketed as nonfiction. Larson is suddenly a celebrity. Venezuelan revolutionary El Toro kidnaps Larson believing that he's the infamous assassin known as the Ghost. Shy and nebbish Larson is presented with an ultimatum: kill the Venezuelan president or be killed himself. Larson's knowledge of crime fiction can be put to good use, but he'll need to develop bravery quickly if he's going to come up with a plan and escape death.
