Plot

In the quiet hum of his world, the piercing ring of the telephone shakes Tomas, a blind man, from his solitude at the computer. As he fumbles for the receiver, his heart pounds in anticipation. On the other end, the words of his girlfriend, Francine, crash into his world like a storm; she's leaving him. The phone, a cold and indifferent vessel of heartbreak, slips from his grip and clatters back onto the hook. As the reality sinks in, Tomas' mind becomes a whirlwind of memories, each one a vibrant mosaic piece of their shared past. He journeys back to their serendipitous meeting, a moment sparked by an intriguing blend of chance and destiny in the heart of Paris. He relives their most private, intimate moments, each one a testament to their unique connection; a love story painted against the backdrop of Paris' 20 arrondissements. Yet, even as the sweet memories flood his mind, the bitter ones seep in too. The minor missteps, the seemingly trivial blunders that, over time, crafted the chasm now between them. As Tomas grapples with his past, he learns that love is a tapestry woven of both joy and regret. True is a poignant segment of the anthology project, 'Paris, Je T'aime', a cinematic love letter to Paris, where each director narrates a tale from a different arrondissement, painting a multifaceted portrait of the city of love. Through Tomas and Francine's story, we are reminded of the fragility of love and the lasting echo of its memory.
