Plot

In the gripping narrative of 'Tracks,' we dive into the unsettling true tale of Peter Madigan, an average suburban teenager who, along with his friends, unwittingly steps into the world of adult consequences. During the balmy summer of 1982, in the seemingly calm town of Fairlawn, New Jersey, these young boys seek adventure on the town's train tracks, their refuge from the world. Yet, one fateful evening, a thoughtless act of juvenile recklessness - flipping a switch on the tracks - spirals out of their control, leading to the tragic derailment of an oncoming train and the death of its conductor. This unprecedented incident shakes the very foundations of the New Jersey legal system. The boys, barely past their childlike innocence, find themselves the first teenagers in the state's history to be tried and convicted as adults. 'Tracks' offers a haunting exploration of their downward spiral, while also providing a poignant portrayal of a boy who stumbles, faces the harsh consequences, yet finds a way to rediscover his path or, more fittingly, his 'track.'
