Plot

In the unforgiving heat of the desert, Julie Bronson (Jean Parker) finds herself ensnared in the dangerous world of The Ghost (Ricardo Cortez), a deranged gangster who runs a clandestine night club amidst the desolate dunes. Julie's father, "Pop" Bronson (Emmett Lynn), a fugitive from justice, manages a secluded desert café under the relentless gaze of The Ghost. The gangster, exploiting Pop's dark past, coerces him into using his humble café as a hidden depot for stolen rubber tires, destined for the Black Market. In an ardent attempt to save her father from this perilous underworld, Julie sends her beloved, Bob Lord (William Marshall), a military lieutenant stationed at a neighboring desert outpost, away - a sacrificial act of love. However, the desert's lawless landscape soon erupts into chaos when a rival gang, spearheaded by the formidable Kohler (Frank Hagney), decimates The Ghost's illicit "palace of pleasure" and leaves him battered. Burning with revenge and wrongly accusing Pop Bronson of this insurrection, The Ghost descends upon the desert café. In a horrifying display of brutality, he shoots Pop before a terrified Julie, forever altering the course of their lives in the remorseless desert.
