Fences (2016)

African-American patriarch Troy Maxson never made it into the Major Leagues; by the time baseball was integrated, he was too old to move out of the Negro League. He's carried a chip on his shoulder for decades, so when his son Cory excels at football, Troy's too worried that Cory will face discrimination to appreciate his son's skills. Cory can't tolerate his father's oppressive attitude and begins to rebel, threatening to destroy the fragile peace that Troy has built for his family. Will the Maxsons overcome the ghosts of the past or give up and build fences around their hearts?
