Plot

Set against the industrial backdrop of Normandy, the story of "To Mathieu" unfurls, radiating raw emotion and unexpected twists. Matthieu and Eric, two brothers bound by blood and labor, toil away in the same factory where their father has been unjustly dismissed. Matthieu, a burning rage fuelling his determination, attempts to reinstate his father's position, only to meet disappointment at every turn. Eric, newlywed and soon-to-be father, cautiously treads the waters of conflict, reluctant to jeopardize his newfound responsibilities. Their fellow workers, caught in the crossfire of loyalty and fear, choose to remain silent spectators, leaving Matthieu in his solitary fight for justice. In the midst of this struggle, tragedy cruelly strikes, ripping Matthieu's father away in a fatal road accident. Matthieu, convinced that despair drove his father to his end, swears vengeance on the man he believes responsible - his boss. A plan takes shape in the shadowy corners of his mind: to seduce his boss's wife, Claire, and turn the factory tyrant into the town's laughingstock. The seduction proves surprisingly effortless, but it's the aftermath that Matthieu hadn't anticipated. In the tangled web of revenge and passion, Matthieu and Claire stumble upon a profound and forbidden love. As this unexpected affection blossoms, Matthieu's scheme begins to unravel, throwing his revenge, and life, into a whirlwind of uncertainty. "To Matthieu" is a stirring tale of love, revenge, and the lengths one is willing to go for family.
