Tit for Tat (1935)

In the aftermath of their previous escapades in "Them Thar Hills" (1934), the beloved comic duo, Stan and Ollie, venture into entrepreneurship with an electrical repair store. Unbeknownst to them, their enterprise is poised precariously across the street from a grocery store owned by their old nemesis, Mr. Hall and his wife, the same couple they had a tumultuous encounter with in their previous adventure. In an attempt to bury past hatchets, Stan and Ollie cross the road of rivalry to extend an olive branch, unknowingly initiating a chain of hilarious misunderstandings. Mr. Hall, wrapped in a shroud of unfounded suspicion, becomes increasingly convinced of Ollie's intentions to woo his wife, sparking a flame of ire that ignites a war of wits and pranks. The grocery store and the electrical repair shop transform into battlegrounds, as a series of escalating retaliations unfold. Each attack is met with an equally comedic counterattack, spiraling into a tit-for-tat spectacle of chaos and hilarity.
