Tintin - Le secret de La Licorne (1992)

Plot

In a bustling market, Tintin, our intrepid hero, stumbles upon a remarkable model ship. He purchases it, a gift intended for his friend, Captain Haddock. The Captain's reaction to the model is one of electric excitement – it's the Unicorn, the legendary vessel once navigated by his ancestor, Sir Francis Haddock. As Captain Haddock regales Tintin with tales of the Unicorn, a ship plundered by the nefarious pirate Red Rackham, the model shifts from a simple trinket to a treasure map. The Unicorn, as it turns out, was not merely a ship but also the last known location of Rackham's unrecovered treasure, a fortune that sank with the ship to the ocean's floor. The enigmatic Sir Francis, the only one privy to the treasure's exact whereabouts, ingeniously concealed the secret within three identical ship models. These models, now scattered, hold the key to the sunken bounty. With a newfound purpose, Tintin and Captain Haddock embark on a thrilling quest to reclaim the Haddock family fortune. But the shadows of the market hold more than just bargains. As they unearth the extraordinary tale woven into the model ship, they discover they are not alone in this race for riches. Unseen adversaries lurk in the periphery, their eyes gleaming with the same golden ambition. The model of the Unicorn is no ordinary ship – it is a vessel that sails across the tides of time, carrying with it a secret that could change their lives forever.
