Oscar Novak, a vibrant, young architect brimming with idealism, is presented with the career-defining opportunity of a lifetime. Alongside his partner, Peter Steinberg, he's propelled into a cutthroat competition against their ruthless former colleagues, Decker and Strauss, to design a multi-million dollar cultural center. The puppeteer behind the scenes, the wealthy tycoon Charles Newman, orchestrates this contest, delighting in the publicity it garners.
