Plot

In the wake of their college graduation, Karen and Martha, two roommates bound by ambition and friendship, face an uncertain future devoid of resources. Fortune, however, smiles upon them as Karen inherits a dilapidated farmhouse from her grandmother, sparking an idea that promises a beacon of hope amidst their looming predicament. They envisage transforming the rundown farmhouse into a thriving school for girls. They set off to breathe life into their dream, their optimism dwindling as they lay eyes on the decrepit building. However, the unexpected encounter with the charming and inspiring Dr. Joe Cardin reignites their hope. Guided by his encouragement, they muster the courage to take a loan, refurbish the farmhouse, and sow the seeds of their envisioned school. Things take a tumultuous turn when one disgruntled student, seeking revenge for a perceived injustice, weaves a malicious lie that entwines Karen, Martha, and Dr. Joe in a scandalous love triangle. This falsehood disrupts their lives, casting a shadow over their once bright future. Unlike its original play, "The Children's Hour," which grapples with themes of lesbianism, "These Three" reimagines the narrative into a heterosexual love triangle, omitting all references to lesbianism. It navigates the complex waters of love, friendship, ambition, and deceit, ultimately serving a potent cocktail of drama that concludes on a note of hope and redemption.
