The Woodsman (2004)

Emerging from the shadowy confines of a twelve-year prison sentence, Walter, a child molester, steps foot into the bustling anonymity of an unnamed city. He settles into a small, nondescript apartment overlooking an elementary school and secures work at a local lumberyard. Walter is a man of few words, his quiet demeanor a fortress against a past that refuses to be forgotten. As he attempts to navigate the choppy waters of normalcy, Walter's past looms like a specter, casting long, dark shadows on his present. He is shunned by his sister, mistrusted by his brother-in-law, and scrutinized by his curious co-worker, Mary-Kay. Even at his workplace, he must tread carefully, wary of being unmasked.
