Plot

In the heart-warming animated short, "The Wise Little Hen," we are introduced to Donald Duck for the first time, alongside his companion, Peter Pig. The diligent Little Hen, brimming with optimism, is determined to plant her corn. She reaches out to Peter and Donald, seeking their aid. However, the duo, more interested in shirking their duties, conjure up excuses of tummy aches to evade the task. Undeterred by their lack of cooperation, the Little Hen, with the assistance of her adorable chicks, takes matters into her own wings. They courageously plant and later harvest the corn, all while Donald and Peter persist in their lazy charade, feigning belly aches once more to avoid lending a hand. The climax arrives when the clever hen, having transformed her bountiful harvest into an array of delectable corn dishes, pays a visit to the negligent pair. Peter and Donald, their bellies rumbling at the sight of the feast, miraculously recover from their fictional ailments, eager to partake in the meal. However, the wise Little Hen has a surprise in store: instead of the delicious corn treats they were expecting, she presents them with bottles of castor oil - a fitting remedy for their persistent belly aches. "The Wise Little Hen" is a classic tale of hard work, resourcefulness, and just desserts, told with charm, humor, and a touch of poetic justice. This film serves as a delightful debut for the beloved Donald Duck, setting the stage for countless adventures to come.
