Plot

In the heart of the swirling saga of THE WEEK, we meet Dick Romans - a once-beloved TV host now treading the waters of obscurity. His life takes an unexpected twist when his wife abruptly departs, leaving him on the precipice of their ten-year anniversary celebration planned in the serene confines of wine country. Suddenly, the festivities designed for two are left to one, as Dick finds himself in the company of his thoughts, his loyal canine, a smorgasbord of catered delicacies, and an ocean of alcohol. In a dauntless decision, he resolves to undertake the week-long revelry single-handedly. Each day of the week unfurls like the chapter of a book, transforming into Dick's reluctant yet riveting vision quest. These seven days, originally intended to toast a decade of marital bliss, instead become a kaleidoscope of encounters with eccentric characters, clumsy romantic interludes, and introspective explorations that have been long put on the back burner. Fueled by the bittersweet taste of loneliness and spirited libations, Dick embarks on an introspective journey that was initially meant to honor the love shared between two people. Instead, it metamorphoses into an odyssey of self-discovery for one complex man named Dick Romans. Amidst the picturesque vineyards and the remnants of a marital celebration, THE WEEK transforms from an anniversary bash into a potent journey of self-realization and personal growth.
