Plot

On the quaint island off the east coast, a grand event is about to unfold. Charlie is set to wed Josephine, a native of the island and the pearl of the illustrious Fish family. The entire wedding saga, draped in opulence, is set around the Fishes' vast mansion. Charlie's groomsmen, Alistair and Cecil, despite their skepticism of marriage, commit to support Charlie in his impending marital journey, which they presume will be a dreary one. With the dawn of the wedding eve, Charlie, Alistair, and Cecil arrive on the island, stepping into the vibrant chaos of Josephine's extensive network of family and friends. This eclectic ensemble, teetering on the brink of eccentricity, is meeting the groom's party for the first time. As Charlie navigates through the whirlpool of pre-wedding rituals, from the boisterous stag party to the solemn rehearsal dinner and the minister's counseling, he finds himself besieged by growing doubts about his betrothal to Josephine. Meanwhile, the Fishes' loyal servant, Baker, struggles with his own discontent, adding another layer of complexity to the pre-wedding drama. Encased in his cocoon of uncertainty, Charlie begins to devise an escape plan from the impending nuptials. Should that fail, he's prepared to plunge into the risky waters of Plan B - sabotaging the wedding. The Wedding Party is less about the suspense of "will he or won't he" make it to the altar, and more a satirical exploration of wedding customs. The narrative cleverly juxtaposes the conventional wisdom of the fictional "The Compleat Bridegroom" with the chaotic reality of the actual event, resulting in a humorous and insightful spectacle.
