The Wedding (2018)

In the heart of Cebu, a city pulsating with ambition and tradition, resides the unpretentious Lia Marquez (Bea Alonzo). Life takes a charming turn when she finds herself engaged to the city's most coveted bachelor, Philip Cordero (Paulo Avelino), who is also in a spirited race to fill the mayoral shoes post his father's tenure. Yet, the serenity of their impending nuptials is disrupted as Wado dela Costa (Derek Ramsay), Lia's former lover, re-enters her life under the guise of a professional commitment - a project designed to bolster Philip's political prospects. As Wado's reappearance rekindles dormant emotions, Lia finds herself ensnared in a web of uncertainty, her heart wavering between the man who once held it and the man with whom she envisages a shared future. As the wedding bells draw nearer, Lia is left to question her choices, her heart torn between the haunting past and the promising tomorrow.
