The Way Back (2020)

The Way Back is the story of a basketball star who quits the sport and spirals down into alcoholism. No one understands why he quit, but it is revealed later that it was because of an unhappy relationship with his father. His depression stems from the loss of his son from cancer. He is asked to coach the basketball team at his old high school. He reluctantly accepts the offer and gradually improves the team as well as his own life. He knows strategies that will help the team win even though they are not very tall or talented in the game.
