"In the echo of a collapsed tunnel, the dark comedy, "Los del Túnel" (Those from the Tunnel), weaves a tale of thirteen survivors who, after a harrowing two-week entrapment, are gifted a second chance at life. United in remembrance of Norberto, their fallen comrade, they establish a tradition of Friday dinners, where the weight of their past is shared along with their daily tribulations. Among them is Julio, a law enforcer ensnared by the charm of a fellow survivor, Miriam. Víctor and Lupe, parents of the adolescent Hiedra, find themselves in a desperate bid to mend their fractured family. Rafi, a delinquent with a soft spot for Hiedra; Adela, the tireless caretaker of her elderly parents, Camila and Segundo, grieving for her deceased husband, Norberto; Walter, a Colombian immigrant with dreams of reuniting his family in Spain. The narrative also encompasses José Manuel and Esteban, a same-sex couple grappling with the announcement of their relationship to their families, and Pedro, Julio's partner, languishing in a coma. The story centers around Toni, a self-absorbed family man caught in a whirlwind of familial chaos, including two confused teenagers, elderly parents with questionable wisdom, and Sole, a wife entangled in the cobwebs of her youthful ambitions. Each character, pulsating with life and its complexities, seeks to seize this second chance, to fabricate new dreams and aspirations, injecting a renewed sense of purpose into their existence. Yet, life beyond the tunnel's darkness is not as idyllic as they had envisioned. Their collective pursuit of rebirth and transformation soon collides with a stark reality, proving to be a hurdle more formidable than they ever anticipated."
