The Thirsting presents a chilling reinterpretation of the biblical Lilith legends. At its heart is Sister Katherine, a nun who, in a desperate bid to escape her childhood memories of ritualistic abuse aimed at making her a willing vessel for Lilith - Adam's first wife and the ominous mother of all demons, found sanctuary in the church. As she oversees a college retreat for seniors, her students - Mary, Clareese, Michelle, Jackie, and Tiffany - are assigned to delve into various pagan doctrines and draw parallels with Catholic figures.
Despite stern warnings from the triumvirate of archangels - Senoi, Sansenoi, and Sammangelof - cautioning the girls against meddling with the occult, they recklessly do so. Unintentionally, they summon the menacing Lilith, triggering a cascade of hellish events. Lilith invades their dreams with a malevolent intention to devour their souls, converting their deepest desires and memories into fatal nightmares. She ruthlessly distorts the girls' dreamworld into a horrifying reality.
