In the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Reverend Cotton Marcus, a seasoned evangelical preacher, finds himself at a crossroads of faith and scepticism. Raised to inspire faith by his devout father, Marcus now questions the doctrines he once held sacred. His faith began to waver when his wife, Shanna Marcus, faced complications during the birth of their son, Justin. Marcus's prayers were overpowered by the tangible aid of medical science, sparking a deep-seated conflict within him that questions the validity of divine intervention.
