The Stranger (2014)

In the quiet confines of a small town, a mysterious wanderer named Martin materializes, seeking a woman named Ana. His quest is diverted when he encounters a young boy, Peter, who directs him to a graveyard. However, a trio of cruel henchmen, under the command of the menacing De Luca, brutally ambush Martin. Peter, witnessing the savagery, intervenes but is forced to retreat in fear. Despite Martin's battered state, De Luca orchestrates a cloak-and-dagger operation to conceal the crime. The unsuspecting Peter, meanwhile, persuades his mother, Monica, a nurse, to tend to the wounded stranger. Martin, however, rejects the aid, cryptically warning that his blood carries a 'contagious' element. When De Luca discovers the body's disappearance, suspicion falls on Peter. In a deadly game of cat and mouse, he dispatches his loyal enforcer, Caleb, to eliminate the perceived threat. But Martin, rising from the ashes, intervenes, saving Peter's life. De Luca, resorting to brutal tactics, tortures Peter, setting him ablaze. As Monica frantically dials for an ambulance, Martin performs an ancient Latin ritual, smearing his 'contagious' blood on the burning boy. In a twist of fate, Peter makes a miraculous recovery at the hospital, baffling the medical staff and is soon discharged. Meanwhile, the authorities apprehend Martin, and Monica is coerced into performing a blood transfusion from Martin to Caleb. Martin pleads with her, insisting his blood requires a sacred blessing to prevent a dire 'infection'. This tale of mysterious strangers, cryptic blood, and small-town secrets is a thrilling journey into the unknown.
