The Spirit (2008)

Denny Colt was just a rookie cop when he was murdered by thugs, but he gets a second chance at being a hero thanks to the intervention of a mysterious force that brings him back from the dead. Denny now roams the streets of Central City at night under the persona of the Spirit. And the biggest threat to Central City is known as the Octopus. The all-powerful crime lord has an iron grip on the city, largely thanks to his willingness to kill anyone who sees his face. Denny's quest to take down the Octopus will put his life at risk a second time, and there will be no coming back this time.
