In the quiet suburbia of a small town, an eighteen-year-old high school girl, home alone as her parents venture out of town, takes the opportunity to host a slumber party. As the night shrouds the town in darkness, the inviting glow of laughter and camaraderie emanates from her house, drawing together the high school basketball team, their friction with the new girl serving as a subtle undercurrent to the festive atmosphere. This new girl, a basketball prodigy, finds herself ostracized and opts to spend the night at her own home, conveniently situated just across the street. However, as the night unfolds, a sinister shadow is cast over their revelry. Russ Thorn, a notorious murderer with a chilling penchant for power tools, has escaped captivity. Affecting a chilling calm, he embarks on a horrifying crime spree, his lethal instrument of choice being a drilling machine that whirs ominously in the stillness of the night. His malevolent path eventually leads him to the high school, then the slumber party where the unsuspecting guests find the mood of their evening abruptly shifting from carefree laughter to palpable fear. As the party descends into a chilling game of survival, the new girl across the street becomes their unexpected beacon of hope. The question remains, will they weather this storm of terror or fall prey to the merciless power tool-wielding killer?
