In the rolling hills of Ireland, Hanna, a withdrawn deaf woman with a unique fixation on a monotonous diet of white rice, chicken nuggets and apples, leads a solitary life working in a factory. After four years of relentless service, her boss insists she takes a vacation that inadvertently leads her on an unexpected journey of self-discovery and redemption.
