The Sand (2015)

In the aftermath of a raucous beach party to celebrate their college graduation, a cadre of bleary-eyed twenty-somethings finds themselves marooned on a secluded private beach. Their hangovers are quickly forgotten when they awaken to the harsh glare of an otherwise ordinary Spring-break morning, only to discover the ground beneath them is far from ordinary. The once familiar sand under their feet pulses with a hunger, an insatiable appetite for anything with a heartbeat that dares to touch it. As the death toll mounts with each passing hour, the group realizes they are trapped in a deadly game of survival against an unseen, ravenous entity. This carnivorous menace lurks beneath the sun-kissed grains, patiently waiting for their slightest misstep. Each moment on this killer beach becomes a high-stakes dance between life and death. Will there be an escape from this deadly coastline, or will the sand claim them all? The beach party of a lifetime quickly becomes a harrowing tale of survival as they grapple with the horrifying reality - the beach is alive, and it's hungry.
