Carson, a wanderer with enigmatic intentions, stumbles upon the tense landscape of a Missouri farming community, fractured by lingering North-South rivalries. Choosing to set up camp at the MacBean farm, he inadvertently stirs the simmering pot of suspicion and hostility.
