The Reward (1965)

In the desolate landscapes of 1965, Frank, an American outlaw, finds himself embroiled in a tumultuous turn of events. After a botched kidnapping plot of his partner's son, prompted by an act of betrayal, tragedy strikes, resulting in the boy's accidental death. Frank, left with no choice, becomes a fugitive, pursued by his incensed partner who offers a staggering reward of $50,000 for his capture, dead or alive. Meanwhile, Scott, a down-on-his-luck crop-dusting pilot finds himself in a financial bind after crashing into a water tank. Lacking sufficient insurance to cover the 12,000 pesos in repair costs, he clings to a fleeting memory of spotting the wanted man, Frank. Armed with this knowledge, he persuades Captain Carbajal, a man of authority, to launch a manhunt. A motley crew of pursuers takes shape, including Carbajal, his reliable deputy Lopez, a skilled driver named Luis, and the enigmatic Indian, Joaquin. They venture into the vast expanses of the desert, driven by the prospect of capturing not only Frank but also his girlfriend Sylvia, who has since joined his perilous journey. "The Reward" is an intense tale of desperation, loyalty, and pursuit, set against the backdrop of a brutal desert where survival is as uncertain as the shifting sands.
