Plot

In the shadow of his infamous brother Jesse James, Frank James has traded his life of outlawry for the tranquility of a farmer, shepherding young Clem - the progeny of a fallen comrade from the James gang. But tranquility shatters when news reaches Frank of Jesse's death at the hands of the Ford brothers, Bob and Charlie, instigated by a vengeful railroad baron once tormented by the James brothers. When justice fails to collar the culprits, Frank is compelled to take the law into his own hands. Despite Frank's best efforts to leave Clem behind, the determined youngster trails along, forcing Frank to reluctantly allow his company. As their pursuit of the Fords intensifies, rumors of Frank’s demise begin to circulate - a ruse to throw off their scent. Enter Eleanor Stone, an ambitious female reporter eager to pen the tale of Frank James' alleged death, who finds herself drawn into the tangled web of deceit and intrigue. As Eleanor grows closer to the Fords, she stumbles upon Frank's true identity through the relentless Pinkerton detective hot on their trail. Yet, she chooses to protect Frank, her emotions entangled in the dangerous game. The plot thickens when Pinky, Frank's innocent farmhand, is wrongfully arrested as his accomplice and faces the hangman's noose. Torn between avenging his brother and saving Pinky, Frank grapples with his priorities, setting the stage for an explosive climax.
