Plot

In the wake of an eerie silence that follows Abbie's untimely death in an anonymous hit-and-run incident, her sister Rachel and boyfriend AJ find themselves entangled in a convoluted quest for truth. They're left questioning the boundaries of accident and coincidence, their search tugging them deeper into a labyrinth of shadows where the line between the hunter and the hunted blurs. On a chilling Friday the 13th, a detective familiar with the case becomes the next victim, his death painting a sinister picture that hints at a grander scheme. Simultaneously, another detective, Robby, finds himself in a parallel pursuit of truth. As he grapples with his own marital tribulations, he stumbles upon a data card at the scene of his partner's roadside execution. Its contents: footage shot by two runaway teenagers, documenting their odyssey following the drug-related death of a sibling. Robby retraces their haunting journey, piecing together fragments of a chilling narrative that leads all the way back to the very heart of police headquarters. As Rachel, AJ, and Robby navigate their respective paths, they're confronted by a gruesome plot twist that weaves a web of lies, betrayal, and corruption from every direction. The Reckoning (2014) is a riveting exploration of a world where secrets and deceit are the currencies of survival, and every revelation brings them one step closer to a horrifying truth. Theirs is a story of resilience and determination, as they seek the truth in a world that offers none.
