The Promise (2016)

Michael is an Armenian has traveled all the way to the city of Constantinople to study medicine, but admission hasn't been without its cost. He has promised to wed the daughter of his wealthy neighbor in return for a dowry, and he finds both a friend in a local Turkish noble and a young Armenian woman who has spent most of her life in Paris. Although Michael is in love, he's engaged and Ana is in a relationship with an American. As the Ottoman Empire begins to fall around them, their values and their bonds with one another will be tested.
