In the heart of a quaint provincial town, young Mélanie Prouvost, the cherished daughter of local butchers, nurtures a dream as delicate as a sonata - to become a pianist. Her aspirations are supported by her doting parents who diligently apply for her admission to the renowned Conservatory. Mélanie's initial performance at the entrance examination is a symphony of skill and passion, until a disruptive interruption by Ariane, a member of the admittance board, shatters her concentration, leading to her failure.
Years later, the melody of Mélanie's life takes an unexpected turn. Now a high-school graduate, she finds herself in the bustling corridors of a law firm, owned by the eminent Mr. Fouchécourt. When Mélanie learns of a position to care for Tristan, Mr. Fouchécourt's son, she seizes the opportunity. Her journey leads her to a grand manor in another town, where she is greeted by none other than Ariane, now the lady of the house and wife to Mr. Fouchécourt.
Oblivious to their shared history, Ariane unwittingly ushers Mélanie into her life, making her the page turner during her piano practices. Little does she know, she has welcomed not just a helper, but an architect of revenge.
