Plot

In the tender year of 1987, a doting grandfather bestows a treasured locket onto his 10-year-old granddaughter, whispering words of wisdom, urging her to share it with the one who owns her heart. Fast forward to 2007, the once innocent girl has grown into an enchanting woman, Kleio Rapti. She indulges in an intoxicating night of revelry at a pulsating nightclub, enveloped in the company of her doting boyfriend and faithful best friend. As the bass fades and the night winds down, her boyfriend, in a moment of pure vulnerability, proposes. Overwhelmed with joy, Kleio says yes, oblivious to the imminent tragedy looming over their bliss. A hit-and-run accident mercilessly snatches Kleio away, leaving her betrothed crippled and disfigured. The drunk driver, the architect of their misery, walks free, shielded by a fortress of lies and corruption, comprising of a deceitful witness, a morally bankrupt judge, a scheming lawyer, and a perjurious doctor. Eight years later, in 2015, a chilling wave of retribution sweeps the city. The individuals who played puppet master in the courtroom, sparing the drunk driver, are brutally dispatched one by one. The cryptic leavings of the killer at every crime scene are the enigmatic number 220 and profound quotes from the philosopher, Pythagoras. The enigma of the murders draws the attention of Dimitris Lainis, a seasoned Criminology professor. As the son of a comatose hit-and-run victim, Lainis finds himself being drawn into the labyrinth of the murderer's moral compass, understanding, and perhaps even sympathizing with, the poetic justice unfolding before his eyes.
