Plot

Set against the backdrop of 1963 Germany, "The Odessa File" unfolds around Peter Miller, a relentless freelance journalist who stumbles upon the diary of Solomon Tauber, an elderly Jewish man who tragically ended his own life. This diary, a haunting testament of Tauber's harrowing experiences in the Riga concentration camp, ignites an insatiable curiosity within Miller about the camp's enigmatic commander, Eduard Roschmann, who mysteriously disappeared after World War II. Undeterred by warnings from the police and surviving a chilling assassination attempt, Miller unveils an ominous society, "O.D.E.S.S.A.", a clandestine organisation that helps former S.S. members escape justice and assimilate seamlessly into German society. This formidable entity, deeply rooted in all echelons of society, will seemingly go to any lengths to guard its members. Simultaneously, Israeli intelligence, in a bid to infiltrate this elusive organization, collaborates with Miller, assuring him of his authenticity. Assuming the guise of a former S.S. camp guard seeking refuge, Miller navigates the murky waters of O.D.E.S.S.A. However, his cover is soon blown, and he finds himself in a perilous game of cat and mouse. Despite the looming danger, Miller manages to locate the elusive Roschmann. As events reach a fever pitch, Miller's pursuit of truth reveals a deeply personal connection between himself, Roschmann, and the ominous O.D.E.S.S.A., unearthing a family secret that was buried in the ashes of the war. "The Odessa File" is a gripping tale of perseverance, intrigue, and a man's quest for truth in the face of overwhelming odds.
